The updated Eagle Flow Chart is now in the Advancement Folder. As we discussed last meeting, this flow chart is very helpful in finding your way through the process of moving from Life to Eagle - selecting a project, gaining approvals (Council, District and Troop), board of review, etc. If you are a Life Scout, please review this flow chart and make an appointment with Mr. Hill or myself to discuss your plans.

Don't forget that this coming Saturday, May 12th, is our Spring Eagle Court of Honor -- our last regular Troop event for this semester.

The State of Texas has tightened the rules for Youth Protection Training this year (details here), replacing the on-line training with a 90-minute in-person class. This immediately affects any adult attending Summer Camp in Colorado. Also, if a contingent to send boys to Lost Pines this summer is organized (7/1-7/7 and 7/8-7/14 are still available), any Adults staying overnight will need the classroom YPT. The Capitol Area Council is offering this training:

The test (details) is mandatory for all Scouts and any Adult going on the 2012 Northern Tier Trip.

Please save the date for our Spring Court of Honor: Saturday, May 12, from 1-3pm. This will include an Eagle Court of Honor plus all other rank advancement. Please take care to schedule any Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review in advance of that date, with enough time to provide documentation to Mr. Chastain of your advancement!
